When Hope Reaches Home

From May through August, we have seen God open doors for Brilla.fm to be much more than a radio station: a resource of hope for Hispanic families.
One of the most special moments was “El Brillo de Papá”. Its segments, created to honor fatherhood and provide practical parenting tools, reached more than 23,000 views on Facebook and Instagram. Behind every number is a story. Luis, in the midst of difficulties and worry, heard words that reached him at just the right moment: “I’m proud of you.” For him, it was God reminding him that he was not alone. We also heard from a young person who recognized resentment toward his father and felt challenged to forgive and seek help.
Legado, our devotional for women, continues to reach beyond our local community. Hundreds of women have downloaded it, and ministries across Latin America are still using it. In Ecuador, a leader at a conference of 300 women shared: “I was never alone; this devotional was God’s plan for me to share with others.”
This summer, we also stepped beyond the radio to meet our community face-to-face. At a family camp, more than 80 people participated as we shared about family restoration and our parenting resources. We heard testimonies from parents and teenagers who decided to pray together, strengthen their relationships, and intentionally set aside time for their families.
We also visited Hispanic workers at a local food manufactoring plant, sharing a meal, hope, and prayer. They were encouraged to discover that there is a radio station that walks alongside them in their own language. In addition, new doors have opened in Indianapolis and Galicia, Spain.
Brilla.fm’s digital community grew by 51.7%, reaching more than 19,400 unique people who saw our posts at least once.
