Don Miller InterviewBlue Like Jazz author Don Miller will be featured in this fall's 2nd annual "Twenty Days of World Changers" on Shine.FM. We're letting you preview two clips from the full interview now: Web exclusive: Don Miller recommendsWhat is on the shelf, iPod, and DVD player of one of Christian music's most influential figures? Don gives Shine.FM the scoop: Music: I tend to buy songs off of iTunes instead of albums, but the new Spoon project GaGaGa is great. I used to know the bass player, who left the band. Although he wasn't a Christian, he wasn't into the rock star thing, even though he loved the guys in the band. He walked away from it right as the band became huge, and left to study social justice at a university. Book: Right now I'm reading a book called Love and Respect by Emerson Eggerichs. It's a marriage book, but I'm reading it because I'm dating his daughter. So, I'm reading it to find out about her through her father. It's been a blast. Movie: I'm late at discovering this film called Baraka, which is just a bunch of visual images from cultures around the world. I don't think there is any talking in the entire movie. It's just stunning images from landscapes and religious cultures, and it's mind bending. The world gets much bigger as you watch this film. |
