Ever wanted to help kids on a short-term basis, but be a huge help?
Not able to take in kids longterm, but want to use the resources and home God has given you for his glory and help and love?

Safe Families is a positive alternative to the state child welfare system and is designed to extend and strengthen the community safety net for at-risk families. Volunteers open their homes to children whose parents are experiencing a short-term emergency, such as hospitalization, or a longer-term crisis, such as drug abuse.

Join Johnny from the Rise and Shine morning show along with The Moses Project, an adoption and foster care advocacy and support ministry for Kankakee County, at the upcoming Safe Families informational meeting at Kankakee First Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 7:00 pm.
