A recent article in USA Today chronicled one of the most disturbing parts of our society, showing strong evidence that teens and young adults who regularly listened to music with sexually degrading lyrics were likely to engage in unsafe sexual activity. Although most people won't see such dramatic effects on a daily basis, the truth is that music and media influence us all — for better or worse.

Shine.fm was founded to offer a positive media alternative to the secular mainstream, with the belief that "Christian radio" doesn't have to equal "boring radio." We strive each day to offer the best music and relevant events to ultimately be a radio station based around real life.
